Summertime in the Library
READ TWO BOOKS
Over the summer, every student should read at least two books. You can read any two books you want, as long as you haven’t read them before.
Open Library hours
The library will be open from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on five Tuesdays: July 11th, July 18th, July 25th, August 8th and August 15th. You can check out books, read, use the Makerspace, and hang out in the air conditioning.
Makerspace Activities:
July 11th - Polymer Clay and Paper Circuits
July 18th - Slime and 3D pens
July 25th - Shrinky Dinks and Jewelry/Keychain making
August 8th - 3D Pens and Book Folding
August 15th - Robots and Duct Tape

The Isinglass Award promotes teen reading by inviting teens to help select great literature
Each year, 7th and 8th graders across NH nominate their favorite books and vote on the top 10 in April
Great Stone Face
Award
The Great Stone Face Book Award is given annually to an author whose book receives the most votes from 4th through 6th graders throughout the state.

Vermont Golden Dome Book Award
The Golden Dome Book Award is a Vermont reading program for students in 4th through 8th grade. Voting takes place mid-April. Those students who have read five or more books from the list are eligible to vote for their favorite book.
