Summertime in the Library

Welcome to Summer Reading Season!

READ TWO BOOKS

Over the summer, every student should read at least two books. You can read almost any two books you want, as long as you haven’t read them before. Graphic novels and audiobooks are wonderful choices. However, picture books and easy readers will not count.

Open Library hours

The library will be open from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on seven Tuesdays: July 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, and August 5th and 12th. You can check out books, read, do activities, and hang out in the air conditioning.

All students attending RMS next year, or former 8th graders are invited to attend. Stay for the whole time or pop in for a few minutes. Come every week we’re open, or just once. Younger siblings are welcome if accompanied by an adult.

Downloadable Books

Log in to Sora to read eBooks and Audiobooks for free. Available 24/7 all summer long! You can access Sora or you can download the Sora App to your own device. Select Frances C. Richmond Middle School and sign in with your email address (rising 6th graders should continue to use their Ray School account).
