Principal's Message

Greetings,

The second five day week at RMS was a fantastic one! It was filled with exciting events, including our very first social. This week also brought the first edition of the RMS News, continued team teaching on research skills, and a successful recitation of the Preamble to the Constitution by Ms. Darlington's homeroom students

Friday evening's Social was the perfect ending to an incredible week at RMS! Students moved fluidly between games in the lobby, snacks, gym play, and dancing. Favorite songs brought bouncing students into the cafeteria for dancing, while a slow song sometimes resulted in awkward glances, hurried exits, or swaying at arm's length. The positive energy of this event was a direct result of the dedication of our staff chaperones, parent volunteers, and the RMS office team. Our next Social will happen Friday, October 24th, and we invite students to wear school-appropriate Halloween costumes (no weapons or masks).

This same positive energy and enthusiasm was felt throughout the school this past week with the arrival of Ms. Voake, our new interim associate principal. Each day she brings to RMS warm greetings, active listening, and insightful questions.

I am continually inspired by the commitment of the RMS staff, whose hard work provides students with so many ways to learn and grow.

Take care,

Anissa

RMS Cafe

Information about menus, mealtime, and application for RMS’ meal program are on the FRMS website. The RMS lunch program is run “in house” and does not follow a state or federal program.  If your family may benefit from assistance for meals, please contact Robin Morley-Ploof in the office for more information.  The program is confidential and runs the same way as the more traditional cafe meal funding program.

RMS works hard to accommodate the dietary needs of our community, so if you have any questions, concerns, please contact Austin Jacobs
